During the interview, the representative from Fratelli Parodi Spa shed light on their crucial role in the project. Their main task involves the conversion of purified fatty acids, obtained through Vitone Eco’s hydrolysis process of civil water purification sludge, into esters. These esters, produced through a dedicated esterification process, can be used as cutting oils in various applications, particularly in the metallurgy sector.
The interview also highlighted the positive prospects of the project. The use of locally sourced fatty acids, as opposed to importing them from Southeast Asia, contributes to sustainability and reduces CO2 emissions, further enhancing the project’s environmental benefits.
